In 2007 The Elms was restored to its original splendor. You can be part of the ongoing effort to preserve a precious piece of Alabama history by donating here. One hundred percent of all funds donated are used for the ongoing preservation work done at The Elms.
For 2019 all donated funds will be used for painting at The Elms. The last time The Elms was painted, the total cost was nearly $50,000. That was the cost of sanding, wood and plaster repairs, and painting both indoors and out.
It has been over ten years since The Elms was last painted and the old gal is ready for another coat on her nearly 200 year old walls.
Thank you for your support!
